How to download a video from a URL
A video URL is just the address of a page (or file) that contains media. YTSave does not search the web for videos. You bring a link, and the site asks the source which formats that link currently exposes.
What you need
You need a public HTTP or HTTPS link from a supported website, or a direct media file such as an MP4. Private, login-walled, or deleted pages will not work.
You also need permission to download the content. YTSave does not grant a copyright license.
Steps
- Copy the video URL from your browser address bar or the app’s share sheet.
- Open YTSave and paste the URL into the downloader.
- Wait while the site fetches the title, duration, and available formats.
- Choose a video or audio option the source actually listed, then download.
- Save the file before the temporary copy on the server expires.
If nothing happens
Check that the URL is complete and public. A homepage, channel, or search-results link is not a video. If the source requires a sign-in in a private browser window, YTSave cannot fetch it either.
