How to find a video’s URL
YTSave needs the address of a specific video (or a direct media file), not a screenshot and not a search query.
On a computer
Open the video page and copy the address bar. For YouTube that is usually youtube.com/watch?v=… or youtu.be/…. For many other sites it is the page that plays the video, not the channel or profile.
On a phone
Use the app’s Share menu and Copy link. Avoid “share to story” links that expire. If the copied text includes extra tracking parameters, you can still paste it; YTSave cares about the host and the video id.
Direct files
If you already have a link that ends in .mp4, .webm, .mp3, or another listed media extension, that is a file URL. You can paste it without a platform landing page.
What not to paste
Home feeds, search results, playlists (YTSave will not batch-download them), and login pages. Reddit posts that only embed YouTube should use the YouTube URL instead.
